There’s a reason that dogs more than any other animal are man’s best friend. They’re loyal, devoted, and can be trained. Regardless of whether they’re a working dog, a show dog or a family pet, dogs are receptive learners and will adapt their behaviour depending on their circumstance.

Some come dog trainers work one-on-one with the dog in the dog’s own environment, others are trained in group classes in public places where the dog can meet other dogs and puppy pride is shared with other dog owners.

The basis of dog training and behaviour is understanding that essentially dogs want to please their owner. Often they don’t know how to do that, and can get confused, and display inappropriate behaviour. Finding a successful and effective way of communicating with the dog is a good way to bond, and treats for good behaviour will ensure that they learn what their owner expects of them both in the home, and in public with other dogs and humans.
