Metal Workers

Metalworkers are commercial artisans responsible for fashioning and shaping metal into specific designs and moulds.

Metal is a popular product for many architectural, industrial, commercial and agricultural products due to its strength and formability. Metal workers produce products ranging from small prototype projects, through to large production runs, in a variety of materials including stainless steel, galvanised iron, aluminium, zinc-alume, zinc-seal, zinc anneal and mild steel.

Metal workers will use a variety of processes and tools to process metal sheets and components. Turret punching is used for repetitive sheet metal punching to produce quality and precision components for all types of industrial requirements. Perforated sheets can be produced with borders and fixing holes for easy and fast installation on site. Surface finishing and de-burring is performed on many small stainless steel and aluminium components.

Flue manufacturing includes the manufacture of domestic solid fuel and gas flue kits, elbows, bends, t-pieces, including large diameter commercial and industrial flue components. Sheet metal can be formed into round and oval ducting and fittings, transforms, reducers and bends, flashings, rectangle ducting, acoustic attenuation, sound bar louvers, weather louvers. Sheet metal fabrications can work with a variety of metals including, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, perforated metal and insulation.
