Language Instruction

Language instruction is the practice of teaching a foreign language as another language to be spoken, and is also known as applied linguistics. To properly learn a language, a curriculum also called a language course is designed by a language school based on a set goals, objectives and expected outputs.

Aside from the traditional classroom setting, language learning has been implemented in several ways. One is through an exchange program, where the student spends time in the country where the language he or she is studying is freely spoken. For example, to instead of going to a classroom to conduct Spanish lessons, the students may go and visit Spain for some time to develop the appropriate pronunciation, meanings of phrases and usage of the language. It also allows the student to appreciate the culture where the language originates.

Another implementation is what we call the Computer Assisted Language Learning. It is the use of computers to gain access from natural speakers and interactive videos to allow learners to hear the the native users use the target language without having to spend for travel purposes. There are virtual communities that already practicing and offering services of this type. English remains a popular language to learn, as globalization continues to have a positive effect on developing economies.
