Cheque Cashing Services

A cheque cashing service is a service provided by certain companies that will allow you to cash a cheque for a small fee. Generally, fees are based upon how much the cheque is, and will involve a small percentage of the cheque. You might choose to employ the services of a cheque cashing facility if you do not have a bank account, or simply want to cash a cheque in a hurry. Cheque cashing companies might also offer additional services such as money transferring (or ‘wiring’), ‘payday’ loans, etc.

Cheque cashing centers engage in the business of cashing cheques for individuals for a small fee, typically a percentage of the overall amount.  They might also, however, provide services such as money wiring. This is a service that allows you to transfer or ‘wire’ money to another individual essentially anywhere in the globe. You might want to do this if you have a loved one that is in need of money on a relatively quick basis.

Other services can include ‘payday’ loans or small loans that are based upon the amount of your pay cheque. Payday loans are generally secured through the employer and are available to you if you would need money prior to receiving your pay cheques. Typically these loans are only available for short periods of time, in which they have to be paid back (i.e. two weeks, on month, etc.).
