Vince Williams Mechanical Repairs

Vince's workshop is a wonderful family owned business. I have been taking my car there for the past ten years for servicing and repairs and could not fault them. Nothing is ever too hard for the team at Vince's. I once broke down in the M4 on the way to the city I phoned the 24 hour break downline and spoke with Darrul who managed to diagnose what was wrong with my car over the phone and arrange a very reasonable price tow back to the workshop in Oak Flats. My car was fixed the very next day and was back on the road. If your looking for quality of work at a reasonable price. Look no further. Darrul and the team at Vince's are the best on the south coast.

Handy tips

Don’t let the maintenance on your tyres slip!

Keep the following factors in mind when maintaining your car.

Tyres should change position on the car every 8-10,000 kms dependant on the car manufacturers recommendations.
Rotating the tyres extends their life by evenly distributing the wear and tear across tyres, which varies by tyre position on the car.
Tyre air pressure should also be top of mind. Having properly inflated tyres protects against tyre damage and reduces the possibility that the car will spin out of control.
Don’t forget to check your tyre pressure every month.
Tyres wear down over time, if your tread is below 1.5mm then you are driving illegally and at risk of aquaplaning at high speed.
Check the tread wear indicator bars on your tyres. If they are level then the tyre has met its minimum tread and it’s time to get new tyres.
Ever noticed a weird vibration when driving? Then you could be in serious need of wheel alignment, where the wheels and axles are realigned. It increases safety, tyre life and is fuel saving.
Inspect your tyres for damage! Anything poking into or out of your tyres is a serious danger! A pro tip is to turn your wheels from left lock out and then to right lock out, to get better visibility.
