Advance Civil Engineering Pty Ltd are a medium sized civil engineering company, which was established in 1980, providing over 30 years' service to the Northern Territory. The company has become particularly successful in completing major projects in remote and regional areas within the NT, including bridge works, river crossings, switchyards, civil works, concrete structures and wharves.

Brooks Hire commenced in 1979 when Doug Brooks purchased two u/s compressors on bankcard. In 1982 Doug purchased the first piece of mobile plant an 8 tonne JEC crane, by tender, which Doug drove to Eneabba. At the time of buying the crane, Doug was operating the business from a shed at Eneabba working 18 hour days and living 5 days a week in a humpy at the back of a shed.

Advance Civil Engineering Pty Ltd have 30 experienced staff that includes carpenters, steel fixers, plant operators, concreters and boilermakers we have a highly skilled and dedicated team. Most of our people are long term employees with 10 to 20 years. As such they are "tried and proven" and embrace all company principles and quality and pride of workmanship.

As a young boy growing up in the Dehne family, life was all about trucks, with his father being heavily involved in transport and life on the farm, for Leigh and his siblings. So, when he bought his first truck at the age of 19 and began doing local work, transporting wood, hay, and livestock, it seemed a natural thing to do.
