A healthy diet can help you maintain a healthy body weight and decrease your risk of many diet-related health problems such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers. We’ve got some dietary tips to help you support healthier eating.

  • Healthy diets are made up of a variety of foods. Eat plenty of breads and cereals, fruit, vegetables and legumes. Eat low salt foods and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
  • Don’t skip breakfast. Breakfast foods such as whole grains, fruit and milk contain vital calcium, fibre and vitamins that make up a healthy diet.
  • Drink alcohol in moderation, alcohol is not only high in energy, but it can also have toxic effects on children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
