Prendergast Earthmoving is an established family-owned business that has been serving the greater Kyneton area for over 30+ years. Roger Prendergast founded the business in 1972, initially specialising in fencing and soil conversation works. Back then, his one piece of machinery was a Fordson tractor with blade.

Millers Civil Contractors commenced in the early 1980s as a one machine company with an Allis Charmers grader. Demand quickly grew from simply grading roads to full road construction requiring the addition of equipment and the business' first employee. In addition to this, the company's first premises were built which also included a soil yard.
