About Us

Client quality assurance and product reliability can be enhanced by the use of accurate and reliable non-destructive testing and inspection methods.

National Test can provide various non-destructive testing solutions, whether it is code acceptance or condition monitoring, to suit our client's requirements.

Services

  • Radiographic Testing - Radiography is the most common known non-destructive test method. It can be used to obtain a permanent image of the surface and sub-surface discontinuities. This method can also be used to compare the size & shape of a known discontinuity over time
  • Visual & Specialised Inspections - A visual inspection or visual examination of objects, parts or components is the oldest of the non-destructive testing methods. It is applied to almost every product as a quality assurance tool
  • Ultrasonic Inspection - Ultrasonics is a method of non-destructive testing where a transducer applies ultrasonic pulse waves in the material. The time of flight of the ultrasonic waves is measured from the initiation to the return of the reflected waves to the transducer
  • Eddy Current Testing - Eddy current uses electromagnetic induction to detect discontinuities in conductive materials
  • Surface Methods NDT Inspections - Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) & Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

FAQs

  • What is dye penetrant inspection?

Dye penetrant inspection is an economical and widely used non-destructive test method to detect surface breaking discontinuities in all non-porous materials. This inspection is generally used as a substitute for magnetic particle inspection and can be conducted using either colour contrast or fluorescent particle types. The material or test items require thorough cleaning before a dye penetrant inspection can be performed.

  • What are the benefits of magnetic particle testing?

Magnetic particle testing is comparatively faster and relatively economical and very sensitive, therefore it is a common, widely used inspection.

  • Do you do visual inspections?

Yes, we do visual & specialised inspections?
