Our business purchases ferrous and non-ferrous metals, these include steel, copper, brass, stainless steel, aluminium, electrical cable, electrical motors, lead and lead acid batteries which consist of car, truck, motor bike, and sealed mobility scooter batteries.
Our workshop recycles the materials back to a pure state as much as possible, before it leaves our premises to be re-manufactured and reused. By processing the material here we are keeping local people employed and our products are then sold to local and overseas buyers.
Our friendly staff will assist you in unloading your vehicle. We have forklift unloading available. We offer a bin and/or pick-up service without trailer, depending on your requirements. Non ferrous metal is an metal other than iron or steel with resistance to rust or corrosion.
Ferrous metal is vulnerable to rust and contains magnetic properties.
Clean metal means the item is only made of one type of metal and is free from plastic and other foreign metals and materials. When the product is mixed the price value is decreased.
Our prices are worked out on the current market price and along with the grade of metal and whether there is any other metals or foreign materials attached.
We DO NOT accept glass, plastics, tyres, wood, rubber. liquids or any kind, building rubble and hazardous waste or chemicals, radioactive materials, live ammunition, gas cylinders, computers and televisions, fridges and air conditioners containing gas.
We only accept lead/acid batteries, marked by the letters Pb on the sticker. We DO NOT accept Alcad, NiCad or Lithium ion batteries.
Yes the plugs need to be removed from electrical cords.
No we do not have a weigh-bridge, but if items are on pallets or less than 3 ton they can be weighed individually.
Yes you do need to remove tyres from wheel rims.
No, we do not buy or accept cars into this yard, but we can take car parts without glass or liquids
