At Claremont Family Dental, we feel that a system of regular dental assessments is essential to any good oral hygiene routine. Our professional opinion is that everyone should visit their dentist at least every 6 months to ensure their smile remains health and to detect and treat and potential issues before they become problems.
The colour of our teeth is constantly being challenged by a variety of factors. The most common include the aging process and consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, smoking, alcohol, soft drinks and other strongly coloured substances (such as beetroot, gravy, etc...). Certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discolouration.
Providing the medical & anatomical requirements are met, dental implants can provide an effective solution for tooth loss. However, prior to their application we require your dentists conduct a comprehensive assessment of your health, including a detailed oral examination and an x-ray of the jaw. The basic prerequisites for dental implant candidature are adequate bone and soft tissues quantity and quality, sufficient health capacity of the body and the treatment of any gum disease.
