Osteopathy is a manual therapy that uses the gentle combination of hands-on techniques such as soft tissue massage, stretching, mobilisation and manipulation to improve the function of the body, treating existing injuries and assisting in the prevention of further injury.

Goulburn Valley Osteopathic Clinic was established in 2001. Our Osteopaths work with a variety of clients and conditions from the very young to the young at heart, from complex injuries to postural assessments. All appointments involve a detailed assessment and development of a co-ordinated management plan that allows you to be involved with getting the most benefit from your treatment.

All our Osteopaths are government registered primary care practitioners and our Practitioners are committed to their professional development to stay up to date with current research trends and techniques.

FAQs

  • What is Osteopathy?

Holistic approach to healthcare not just focused on the problem area but considers the impact other body regions and systems may have. A drug-free manual approach focused on total body health, treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework and promoting the effects of the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Encourages the body's natural ability to heal itself in conjunction with maintaining good posture, breathing, appropriate lifestyle modification, healthy diet and exercise.
