Ian Young established the beginnings of the Qualtone Group Pty Ltd in 1969.

He originally started serving the local community of Mitcham in the Whites Shopping Centre. It wasn’t until the 1980s that he moved the business to our current address at 501 Mitcham Road, Mitcham.

In 1981 Ian decided to start serving  the people of Geelong – Geelong Hearing Aid Services was born, Initially offering appointments at Pardeys Pharmacy in Belmont. It was a few years after that, that he started seeing the good people of Geelong  at 454 La Trobe Terrace.

All clinics of the Qualtone Group are accredited to provide Free hearing services to eligible pensioners and Veterans.

Eligible pensioners and Veterans can obtain the following services at No Cost:

• Hearing Assessment
• Hearing Rehabilitation,
• Supply and fitting of a range of devices.

Qualtone Group carries out repairs and maintenance to all major brands of hearing aids.

Most repairs are done in house. However, in some cases the aid may be sent to the manufacturer. A loan aid may be provided while your hearing aid is under a repair.

We provide quality batteries for all types of hearing aids. Batteries can be ordered by phone and be delivered by mail.

Pensioners and Veterans may obtain maintenance of their hearing aids and regular supply of batteries on payment of an annual fee (Veterans maybe exempt).
