It usually takes 45 minutes.
Does acupuncture hurt?

Usually no, if anything a small tingly dull achy sensation is felt for a second when the needles are inserted, for adults this is followed by a 20–30-minute needle retention, for young children no needle retention is needed. It is very relaxing and most people have a little rest/nap!
