  • What is Estate Planning?

Estate planning is the process of planning for and implementing strategies to control financial resources during life and after death, usually for the benefit of family, friends or favoured purposes of the client. A Will is usually a key document in any effective estate plan, however other important documents include: Enduring Power of Attorney; Enduring Guardianship; Superannuation Death Benefit Nomination; and Memorandum of Wishes.

  • What are some of the advantages of a Will prepared by Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers?

Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers take the time to review your individual family and financial circumstances with you, to identify the issues and options personal to you in your Estate Planning, and recommend solutions. We do not offer one size fits all solutions, but rather tailor solutions and documents to what you need and want. Our lawyers are experienced and focused in the areas of law in which they practice.

  • Do you have experience and expertise in Estate Disputes?

Yes, we have a team of lawyers experienced in advising and representing beneficiaries, Executors, Trustees, and those with claims against estate, trusts, superannuation funds or fiduciaries. We have a considerable practice in matters before the Supreme Court, and assist clients through all steps of that Court process, including representation at mediation.

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document appointing one or more people to act as your Attorney, to make financial decisions and act on your behalf in certain circumstances. An Attorney may be required when you are unavailable for some reason (for example, travelling overseas), if you lose mental capacity, or simply if it is more convenient for you to have someone else act on your behalf in certain matters.

  • What happens to my superannuation when I die?
