No. However, it is advisable to ensure the boundary has been redefined by a licensed land surveyor to ensure its correct location, and to avoid and potential issues that may arise. Only a licensed land surveyor with a current practising certificate can legally check your boundaries. Ask your surveyor if they are licensed? If not, ask why? And their survey will not have any legal standing.
A site survey (in some cases its termed a level and feature survey) is where a surveyor observes ground levels and features over a property for the purpose of developing or re-developing on the site (A good example is a new property owner wishes to build on their vacant lot, the site survey will be used by the architect along with the development application with the local government).
Contact your local licensed surveyor who will be able to advise accordingly.
