You can select your preferred coffin or casket from any one of our simple, basic units through to the stylish mid-range series, or, if you prefer, make your choice from our most lavish collection.

Our Care

We take pride in our mortuary care and are able to perform important details such as dressing of the family member; presentation for viewing, if that is your requirement, and the placement of special items with your loved one as required by family.

Our responsibility is to let you know of the many options available and this will enable you to make appropriate decisions that will result in a meaningful funeral service. We will pay particular attention to every detail ensuring that individual preferences have been met.

Our Services

Morleys Funerals has facilities to provide several levels of after-service refreshments which may include tea, coffee, fruit juice, with biscuits, cakes, sandwiches and hot food. Some charges may apply.

  • Where are you located?

    We can be found on the corner of Hugh St & Martinez Ave in Townsville. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • How much does a funeral cost?

    Funeral Service prices can vary a great deal. Morleys Funerals are able to meet all budgets. It is all about choices and options. From a little over $2000 for a direct cremation (without a service), or approximately $4500 for a simple cremation service.

  • Do I have to sign anything?

    Yes. You will need to sign the Application for Burial that will be submitted to the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board.

  • Who should I notify?

    After the Doctor and Funeral Director, there are always the family and friends of the deceased to notify. There are others who also need to know, though not necessarily straight away.

  • Do I have to register the death before arranging a funeral?

    No. Your Morleys Funerals consultant will coordinate the registration of the death for you.

  • How do I get a Death Certificate?

    These are issued by the Registry Of Births, Deaths & Marriages in your state. Usually the funeral director is responsible for registering the death with this Registry within 7 days of the burial or cremation.
