Pruning

Careful attention is paid to all pruning. We prune all species of trees and fully discuss the options with you before commencement of the pruning works. Some examples include:

  • Formative pruning on established trees such as oaks
  • Branch removal on large trees such as spreading gums
  • Fence line pruning (neighbours trees)
  • Fruit tree pruning
  • Hedges large and small

Removal

There are times when pruning isn't the solution. Some trees are just too dangerous, the wrong species, dying or dead, structurally unsound, too big or just in the way. We fully discuss the options with you before commencement of removal and always carry out the works in a controlled and safe manner. We employ different methods according to need these may include:

  • Climbing the tree
  • Felling the tree
  • Use of EWPs (cherry pickers)
  • Excavators (usually for land clearing jobs)
  • Stump removal
  • Crane work

Advice and Tree reports

The two main concerns people have with trees are health and structure. Most concerns can be addressed on a visit and subsequent free written quotation for any tree work being considered.

Tree reports may be needed for development applications for council, historic trees or where there is a concern for public safety. We offer basic and advanced tree reports either hard copy or emailed.

FAQs

  • How can we contact you?

You can call us at 0417 971 301. You can also send an email to [email protected].

  • What are your opening hours?

We are open from Monday to Friday from 07:30am to 05:00pm and from 08:30am to 02:30pm on Saturdays.

  • Do you offer emergency services as well?

Yes, we do. Emergency work at any time, call, text, or email, and I will attend to it.

  • How long does it take to get a quote?

Yes, we do. Emergency work at any time, call, text, or email, and I will attend to it.

  • How do I know it is safe?

A full site assessment is carried out on every job, large or small. Adam and his team pride themselves on "controlled takedowns". We are fully insured and happily provide our insurance details on request.

  • Can I keep the wood for firewood?

Yes, we have several wood splitters available for hire, or we can cut, split, and stack the wood for you.

  • Do you have a mulcher?

Yes, we do. Since it is your tree, of course you are welcome to keep the mulch, or we can remove it from the site.

  • Do you do tree reports?

Yes. Those with a tree of significance - schools and public parks are the most common users of this service. In sensitive areas, a tree report may need to be conducted for a development application. A tree report may include the tree species, approx. height or weight, age, condition, health, and recommended works (if any). Please note that no tree report is required for a dead tree.

  • Do I need council permission?

Depending on where you live. Different councils have different regulations. Upon your request, we can find out if there is any vegetation protection attached to the property. These may include heritage-listed trees, the skyline, or a state reserve. Please note that just because there is an order for protection on the trees or hedges, it does not mean no work can be carried out.

  • Do you brace trees?

Yes, we use a range of different bracing systems; steel wire or cable, dynamic rope, metal rods are a few of the options available. When bracing is considered, we explore the most desirable options for the site.
