Safes & Strongroom Doors

Locksmiths and professionals in the industry usually install safes and strongroom doors.

Safes are more portable and typically cube shaped (with one face as the lockable door to secure smaller items against damage or theft) offering portability and convenience, typically for the storage of cash, documents, jewellery, or other items of value. Strongroom doors generally provide a more secure way to lock a room (often known as a vault, containing many safe deposit boxes) for more or larger items, as basic aluminium doors generally are not strong enough or tamper proof.

Security doors of this type are often used in bank vaults where security is a premium. A safe is generally found in residential or business premises where they can be custom designed to meet the user needs. For example the user may wish to be able to move the safe to different locations within the premises. Safes and strongroom doors both provide a high level of fire resistance when compared to standard security screen doors. There are many types of safes in the market, with prices ranging from affordable to expensive. Some of the more common types of safes include fire resistant safes, key cabinets, drug safes, wall safes, cash boxes, and computer data safes. Strongroom door are more expensive and contain less variation as they mainly offer protection from fires, disasters and burglars.
