On the solar quotes website we are, at the time of writing this page, ranked number 17 (out of about 1000) in solar power companies in Australia based on reviews on that site written by clients that we have installed systems for. This ranking is based broadly on client satisfaction and has criteria such as value for money, knowledge of products and service.
Over our time in the solar power industry we have seen a number of trends, government programs and business models come and go.
We will continue selling solar power systems at the same price as our website prices were before 16 November until Christmas. In other words we will absorb the rebate change and send a message to the government that nothing can stop solar and that they need to start planning for a grid with much more solar connected to it rather than trying to kill off the industry.
We do not aim to be the cheapest retailer of solar panels in South Australia (because this would necessitate the use of low quality inverters) but we do aim to provide the most reliable systems at the cheapest price we can possibly make them. This is why we are happy to make our prices available to you without a song and dance.

Preferably not a very hot day! Generally your solar power installation process starts with you getting a formal quote from one of the guys in the office. This has a lot of information in it about energy yield, warranty terms, STC's, model numbers and other useful information. Then, if you decide to go ahead you fill in the last page of the quote and either scan and email it back to us, fax it to 83916618 or post it to the office.
On the last page of our solar quote we get from you all the information we need to get approval for your system from ETSA (now SA Power Networks) and your power retailer. There is usually a wait of about 6-8 weeks from sign off and payment of the deposit until we are ready to come out and install your system. This usually works out pretty well as it usually takes around this long to get an appointment with ETSA to change over your meter and install a bio-directional solar meter.
Our CEC accredited installers will come to your house on the scheduled day, and (depending on the size of the system) spend most of the day there. They will mount your new solar panels on your roof, and install the wiring back through to your inverter; which is normally mounted near your power box for easy access. Once the switch is flicked â˜ON' your house will instantly start benefiting from your newly installed solar system.

There is often great debate over whether you are better off with poly-crystalline cells in your solar panels or mono-crystalline solar cells in your solar panels. I think this question is one of the last things I would concern myself with if I were buying solar electricity panels and here is the reason why.
When 2 solar panels are marketed at a particular wattage (say 250 watts) it means that (at standard test conditions) both will produce at least 250 watts, provided both of these panels have no negative power tolerance in their specifications. This is the case even though one of these panels may use polycrystalline cells and one of these panels may use monocrystalline cells.
What is important to remember is that any slight differences in cell efficiency between polycrystalline or monocrystalline panels is already taken into account when they are rated and so is of little or no relevance to you as the end consumer.
