FAQs

  • How often should I have a dental exam and cleaning?

While most people need a dental examination every 6 months, everyone is different, so it's good to ask what's best in your specific case.

  • What are your payment and financial policies?

Our financial policy is payment on the day, we accept credit card, cash also we do offer After Pay and Zip Pay. We do not accept Amex

  • How do whitening toothpastes work?

Whitening tooth paste does not work – in order to get the best whitening results, we have 2 options: 1-) In Chair whitening 2-) Take home kit

  • How can I keep my teeth white?

Smoking, red wine, black tea and coffee are major factors in causing teeth discoloration

  • Why can’t the dentist do my clean?

The dentists are not trained enough to use hand scalers, therefore they prefer the hygienists to do the clean as they are qualified and more trained only in this field.

  • How much does a filling cost?

Sight unseen it’s hard to determine, the size of the filling or the material the dentist will be using therefore it’d difficult to give quote.

  • Is it safe to have a dental cleaning while pregnant?

Yes, dental cleanings pose no harm during pregnancy. In fact, they are a great way to keep your teeth and gums healthy, which is especially important during pregnancy. Some dental plans may cover an additional cleaning for pregnant women.

  • Why do I need to have X-rays?

X-rays provide the dentist with additional important information about the condition of your teeth and will reveal any hidden decay, problems with the roots of your teeth or issues with your jaw and your facial bones. Things that they cannot get to view any other way without serious undertakings that are very costly to you. If you are in doubt about the need for x-rays, ask your dentist to explain why they want or need them.

  • When should my child be checked by a dentist?

It is recommended that your child should have their first check-up at one year of age. Go for a ride in the chair and get their teeth counted so they can start getting familiar with the dentist.

  • I’ve just developed a cold sore, do I need to reschedule my dental appointment?

Some dentists prefer not to treat patients with an active cold sore as it can be painful and cause bleeding and irritation. It's usually better to reschedule your appointment until the cold sore heals and is no longer infectious.
