Refractive surgery encompasses a collection of operations designed to correct focusing errors of the eye. There are a number of such errors including myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (long-sightedness), astigmatism (uneven bending of light rays), presbyopia and monovision.
At this assessment, your eye is examined and measurements of the shape and length of the eye are taken with the IOL Master to determine the specifications of the artificial lens (IOL) best suited to your eye.
