FAQs

  • How long do repairs or replacements take?

We have a 24 hours turnaround policy, which means we try our best to get your vehicle back to you within 24 hours of the first contact. In some cases (e.g. we need to manufacture a whole new set of windows) this isn't possible, but if this happens, we'll always let you know when we quote.

  • Do you do insurance work?

Yes, we do. We bill your insurance company direct, so you don't need to worry about dealing with all the paperwork. All you need to do is to tell us your claim number and policy number and we'll do the rest!

  • How can I stop a chip from spreading?

The best way to stop a chip or crack from spreading is to get it repaired as soon as possible. But before taking your vehicle for repair, you can try putting a piece of waterproof tape or other adhesive laminate on the outside of the crack to stop water, dirt or grime from getting into the crack and widening it.

  • Are DIY repair kits worth?

We don't recommend using DIY kits, as they are only slightly cheaper than getting a professional to do it, and there's no guarantee that it's going to look good or last, so it is better not to risk it.

  • Why do I need to repair small chips?

Small chips always become bigger. So if you want to save money on a total windscreen replacement, make sure you treat the damage quickly and effectively. Any damage to your auto glass also weakens it, which is a serious safety concern, and it also affects the general rigidity of your vehicle. In some cases, a damaged windscreen also qualifies as a failure in a roadworthy test.
