We are a locally owned and operated business which has been running since 1999. We have over 30 staff across our two stores located in Mackay & Townsville and have over 80 years combined battery knowledge. We also stock Generators as we're approaching cyclone season. Lay-by yours today.
Testing and fitting of batteries are free of charge and we use our Memory Minder so as your car doesn't lose it's settings (ie. radio, phone connectivity). We stock a large range of battery brands and also stock batteries for Stop/Start vehicles. Come in and have a look at our large range of battery chargers, inverters and portable solar panels we have in stock.
As A1 Batterypro has grown considerably over the years, we have expanded into 3 main sections. Batteries, Solar Installation and also Auto Electrical spare parts and a fully qualified workshop and electricians to carry out any work you may require on your vehicle, caravan or motor home. We test all batteries before replacing if you are able to bring them into the store. We use a load tester to quickly and easily see what level of charge your battery is at.

Yes. We have an excellent range of EFB or AGM batteries specially designed to meet the original equipment specifications. We have the latest scan tool to allow out stores to fit them and reset the computer for this new battery.
