You may have had someone use your washing machine who is not familiar with its operation. Hence you find it full of water but not working. Solution - Try advancing to spin cycle so that the water can drain and the cycles can start fresh again. Sounds simple, however, many people mistake this as a problem with the machine when it may have been turned off mid cycle.
Check the power switch is not turned on at the wall. Solution - Unplug the machine from the wall. Wait 60 seconds, plug back in and turn the power back on again. There could be a problem with the power supply. Solution - Try plugging another electrical appliance into the power outlet.
Check if the dishwasher is overloaded. Solution - Remove some of the dishes if overloaded. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely and remove food scraps from dishes before loading. Check if the spray arm holes are blocked. Solution - Remove the spray arms, rinse under tap water and replace. If holes are clogged use a brush or toothpick to remove blockages.
Check the drain hose is not bent or kinked. Solution - Straighten the hose to allow water flow.
Splashing may have occurred because the water level is too high for a number of garments in the washing machine. Solution - Manually select a lower water level.
