The Masters Of All Things Tyres

Under a number of different guises, we have been one of Bundaberg’s go-to sources for quality tyres and proven expertise for over 16 years. Yet whatever our name has been, our aim has been the same – to deliver practical, affordable tyre solutions to one and all. While many tyre specialists out there have based their knowledge solely on brand brochures and in-garage training, our understanding of tyres has come from unique, hands-on experience gained working in the job and in the actual fields.

Over the years on the farm, we saw what tyres can and cannot handle in terms of performance and durability, and also what it takes to come back from even the most horrendous of blowouts. While we have since made the move from the farm to the tyre shop, we haven’t rested on our laurels; we have since bolstered our understanding with the same training that you would expect from any worthy tyre professional.

FAQs

  • How often should I check the pressure of the tyre?

Check the pressure of your tyres, including the spare, monthly, when the tyres are cold. Low pressure increases the risk of damage. Excess pressure of 20% can reduce the life of a tyre by up to 10,000km. Recommended tyre pressure is found in the car owner's manual on the labels of the side door beside the driver's seat and NOT on the tyre. The pressure shown on the tyre sidewall is the maximum tyre inflation pressure.

  • What are the symbols on tyre pages & what do they mean?

We've defined 5 characteristics to indicate the aspects of a tyre's suitability: 1. Handling - engineered for greater responsiveness & handling. 2. Wet Conditions - this provides greater control in wet conditions. 3. Comfort - a smooth ride & reduced road noise. 4. Durable - engineered to last longer due to an improved wear life. 5. Fuel Economy - Low rolling resistance improves vehicle efficiency & gives better fuel economy over the life of the tyre.

  • How often should I rotate my tyres?

We recommend rotating your tyres every 5000km. Things to know about rotation methods: 1. If your front tyres are of different size to your rear tyres then you can't rotate between these positions. 2. Some tyres have tread patterns that rotate in one direction only. These can't be swapped from left without removing the tyre from the wheel. 3. If your vehicle has a full-size spare then include it in your rotation. If you have a space-saver spare this tyre shouldn't be used in the rotation.

  • How do I get the tyres on my car?

As a part of our checkout process, we ask you to select a fitting location and time that's convenient to you. You drive in at the appointed time and we fit your new tyres with no extra cost and no fuss!
