All products are coated with a consistent 60 - 80 micron covering of powder as per industry standards. Our batch oven can coat items up to 8m long, 2.8m high and 2.35m wide and the new conveyorised tunnel oven can coat items up to 6.7m long, 1.85 high and 0.6m wide.
We can now offer an advanced level of technical capabilities and exacting standards of quality control with the installation of the new automated powder coating line and cutting edge equipment. Powder coating is a durable polyester decorative coating that is applied with an electrostatic gun. It is applied after preparation and pre-treatment to thickness of 50 to 80 microns. Once coated it is baked/cured in an oven at 200 degrees for approx. 20 minutes. Once cooled the finish is hard and ready for use.
No, it is a highly durable decorative finish. Corrosion protection can be provided by either chemical pre-treatment or Zinc rich and Epoxy powder primers. This preparation is provided prior to the application of the final colour.
-All plastics, wiring, seals ( anything that will melt) must be removed. -Provide drainage holes in sealed hollow sections. -Tape any treads that you don’t want painted.
