Benefits of a waste treatment plant on your land:

A Wastewater Treatment Plant treats all the wastewater that is generated in a Building thus allowing a block of land that would normally be unsuitable for a residence due to close proximity to a waterway, able to be built on.

The wastewater includes the sewage (black water) that is discharged from the toilets and the sullage (grey water) that is discharged from kitchen sinks, hand basins, laundry troughs, washing machines, dishwashers, showers and baths.

FAQs

  • What do I put the tank on?

50mm to 75mm crusher dust or sand, levelled and consolidated, - Concrete, - Tank Base supplied by Roy Walker Plumbing up to 800mm high to suit individual tanks.

  • What happens when the tank is full?

The overflow supplied with the tank connects to 90mm storm water pipe. Be sure to run the water away from the tank so it doesn't undermine the base of sand, - Tanks can be interconnected, so when the first one is full it overflows into the second.

  • I have heard mosquitoes breed in tanks?

All our water tanks are mosquito proof. The leaf strainer in the top has a stainless steel mesh fine enough to prevent mosquitoes entering. There is also the same mesh on the overflow.

  • How about the dust on my roof?

We supply and install first flush diverters which flush the first rain away from the tank and when the roof is rinsed the diverter shuts off and allows the tank to fill.

  • My tank stand is only 100mm smaller than my tank, is that ok?

No, all water tanks must be fully supported.

  • Do galvanised water tanks corrode?

Galvanised water tanks now have a protective skin on the inside of the tank so the water never comes in contact with the steel, thus allowing the 20 year guarantee.

  • I have heard there is a plastic taste in polythene water tanks?

No, there is no plastic taste - the material they are made from is food-grade.

  • I need to match my tank with my shed?

No problem, polythene water tanks come in a range of colorbond colours.
