Although Green Star and BCA Section J have similar goals, compliance with one does not demonstrate compliance with the other. Green Star's scope is much broader than that of BCA Section J, while Section J includes some details that may not be captured by Green Star. Your building must comply with BCA Section J regardless of whether or not you also achieve a Green Star rating.
Demonstrate compliance with performance requirements of the BCA. They do not design sprinkler systems.
