Airspeed Aviation is dedicated to delivering exceptional and personalised flight training for pilots at every level.
AirSpeed Aviation has grown from a sole trader with 2 pilots and 2 aircraft to one of the state's leading air charter companies employing up to 10 pilots and operating a fleet of 13 aircraft.

Established in 1997, AirSpeed Aviation is a leading flight school, providing top-tier training for Recreational, Private, and Commercial Pilot Licences. With a full-time training centre located in Scone, we have proudly trained hundreds of aspiring pilots. Our highly experienced instructors who are also multi-engine air charter pilots deliver real-world flying knowledge and skills to our students. We offer a 30-minute Trial Instruction Flight (TIF) for anyone curious about aviation, allowing potential students to experience the excitement of flying firsthand.

Our training programs cater to a range of aviation goals, from recreational flying to advanced commercial airline training. Students pursuing a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) begin with basic training for the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL), followed by cross-country navigation exercises in preparation for the PPL flight test. We provide modern aircraft for training, including the Grob G115 and the Cessna C182 Skylane for navigation practice. We also offer the flexibility for students to train in their own aircraft at no additional cost, ensuring a personalised learning experience.

For those aiming for a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), AirSpeed Aviation offers a comprehensive 200-hour training course that follows CASA’s rigorous syllabus. Students typically require between 180-200 hours of flight time to reach the standards needed for the CPL flight test. With a focus on high-quality instruction and individualised attention, we prepare students for a successful career in aviation, offering specialised training in aerobatics, multi-engine aircraft, night flying, and more.
