Cranes can be serviced on a quarterly, 6 or 12 monthly basis. Some of our customers choose to have their cranes serviced on a quarterly basis based on how often they use their equipment. However, the standard is that all cranes are serviced on a 12 monthly basis, or at a certain hour read as per your manual.
EWP’s, or Elevating Work Platforms, need to be serviced on a quarterly basis.
We recommend that your oil is changed at least every 12 months, but this is dependent on the equipment your running, how often the equipment is used and what the manufacturer's specifications require.
Carrying out an oil analysis is the best and most cost effective option to get an accurate reading on the contamination level in your oil. Alternatively, you can visually inspect the oil for cleanliness, however, contamination levels are indicative of the particle micron size, which is not always visual to the human eye.
