FAQs

  • Does Pottsville Beach Dental participate in the child dental benefit schedule?

Yes, Pottsville Beach Dental is a bulk billing provider for the child dental benefit schedule that was introduced by medicare in January 2014. Please contact our front office for more details.

  • How often should I see the dentist?

We recommend six-monthly examinations and clean. This way we can treat any problems at an early stage, rather than waiting for them to become a bigger and more expensive problem. Regular professional cleaning helps to maintain the health of your gums.

  • My gums bleed when I floss my teeth. Should I stop flossing?

No, bleeding while flossing is a sign of gingivitis (gum disease). Healthy gums do not bleed, but with regular flossing the bleeding should decrease and eventually stop. If your gums continue to bleed, please make an appointment to see us.
