Dr Tan is sympathetic to the needs of women in his gynaecological practice. Dr Tan offers a range of services to look after women. He can do routine pap smears, diagnose STD and other diseases of reproductive organs and perform serious operations such as hysterectomies.
Dr Tan is an expert in infertility, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, cervical and uterine polyps, abnormal pap smears and offers services in the latest in technology in keyhole surgery (laparoscopic surgery).

There are many options of ultrasound facilities. For convenience, patients can use the mater imaging which is on site near the mater clinic, or seek a referral to another provider of your choice.
Dr Steven Tan delivers at the Mater Hospital North Sydney, North Shore Private and RNSH. You will need to book in at these Hospitals when you find out that you are pregnant and you can see what excellent services they provide.
The details of the LSCS will be explained throughout all the consultations with Dr Tan. In the week preceding the delivery date, you will get a phone call from the hospital with the exact details and times. It is usually about a five day admission, and you may be required to fast for 4 hours prior to the procedure.

Dr Tan works with a team of dedicated and excellent staff committed to caring for you and your baby. You may require an anesthetist for an epidural or spinal block, or in the event of a Cesarean section. Your baby may require a Paediatrician for a postnatal check.
