This practice is committed to providing comprehensive medical care to everyone in Muswellbrook and the surrounding areas.
The Brook Medical Centre has the highest level of accreditation and is committed to being a quality training facility for doctors & students. We were awarded "Practice of the Year" for NSW by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Situated in the heart of the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley region, surrounded by vineyards and thoroughbred horse studs, we are a well-established practice which has been running for over 50 years. We are currently staffed by eleven full time and four part time doctors. There are five female doctors available.

  • Do I need to make an appointment?

    Yes. During the week you will need to have made an appointment, on the weekend there is no appointment necessary.

  • Do you do repeat prescriptions?

    The issue of repeat prescriptions generally requires a visit to the doctor. In rare circumstances, the doctor may write one without a consultation. (A $15.00 script fee is payable when picking up your script at the surgery). It is helpful if we have at least 24 hours’ notice to deal with any request.

  • Can I call to and speak with my doctor?

    Phone calls may be put through to the doctor. If the doctor is seeing patients when you call, he may need to call you back at a later time, otherwise Sister may be able to help you.

  • How long dose my appointment goes for?

    Appointments are normally made at 10-15 minute intervals. Your doctor may run late because of complex or serious problems (emergencies).

  • Can I call ahead to make sure my Doctor is running late?
