We are Miranda-based physiotherapy practice that has been helping the communities of Miranda heal from their injuries.
Our team consists of qualified, trained and experienced physiotherapists who can help you heal from wounds of all kinds. After completing his degree at the University of Sydney, Jamil worked at Fairfield Hospital where he developed a holistic approach to the treatment of various orthopaedic conditions, arthritis, chronic pain management, post-operative rehabilitation and fall prevention programs.

We have a result-oriented approach to our treatments. We begin with a complete assessment of the injury and develop a customised treatment plan to assist in faster and more complete healing. This helps in managing the injury and helping the patients get back on their feet in no time.

Specialising in sports wounds, we provide treatments for the whole range of injuries and pain. From tendon injuries, concussions, ankle injuries and groin pull to dislocated shoulders, muscle strains, hamstring injuries and shin splints, we have the right treatment plans for everything. Our treatments are directed towards speedy and complete recovery as we aim to put you back in your sport quickly and effectively.

Our qualified Physiotherapists have a breadth of knowledge in accurately diagnosing and formulating an accelerated program for a swift return to sport. Every athlete is progressed in line with set milestones that need to be fulfilled for a safe return to sport. If you have a niggly injury or do not have the confidence to return to sport, Pinpoint Physiotherapy And Sports Medicine will give you the right tools to ensure your return to sport if successful.

FAQs

  • Can I use my health fund?

At Pinpoint Physiotherapy And Sports Medicine, you can claim directly from your health-fund via our online HICAPS facility and then use your credit or debit card to pay the gap.

  • Do I need a referral?

No, at Pinpoint Physiotherapy And Sports Medicine, we see patients who do not have a referral from a GP. Many of our patients are referred by physicians and orthopaedic doctors, but this is not essential.

  • Do you accept Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) and third-party claims (work cover/CTP)?

Yes. Please bring your doctor's referral with you to the consultation. For more information about EPC plans, please consult your doctor or contact Medicare. If you are covered by Work Cover, please bring your referral, medical certificates and any other information that is related to your claim (e.g., claim number, insurance company).

  • What should I wear to the appointment?

It is important that you wear loose clothing so that you can adequately expose the injured area which needs to be assessed and treated.

  • What happens during the first physiotherapy session?

Our experienced practitioners will perform a detailed assessment of the injured area in order to formulate an accurate diagnosis. Once this has been established, you will be educated on the underlying causes of the injury and what to expect in subsequent treatment sessions. Your goals will also be discussed so specific treatment plans can be implemented.

  • How long would an appointment take?

The initial consultation is approximately one to one and a half hours. The subsequent consultations range between 45 minutes to one hour. However, if you need to be out by a specific time, let your physiotherapist know so this can be accommodated.
