A traineeship is nationally accredited training that is delivered on the job. The training is specifically tailored to suit the workplace and the trainee and allows the trainee to earn while they learn. A traineeship can be full-time, part-time or school-based enabling the student to enter the workforce and train towards gaining a nationally recognised qualification whilst completing their secondary school studies.
Anyone, who is of working age and engaged in full or part-time employment.
The length of time taken to complete a traineeship varies from individual to individual and depends on the level of the qualification, whether employment is full time or part time, and your length of time in the job. The time given to complete is assessed by the Australian Apprenticeships Centre representative at their initial visit.
