FAQs

  • Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, you can book in to see a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist without a doctor's referral. However, if you are claiming workers compensation, third party, Medicare, department of veteran affairs then you will need a referral from your GP or specialist. Please notify the receptionist when booking your appointment if you will be claiming through one of the above.

  • What are your opening hours?

The clinic is open 7am to 7pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5.30pm on Fridays, and Saturday 8.30am to 1pm.

  • How long will I need to wait for an appointment?

We will always offer you the next available appointment, which is likely to be on the same day. At most you will wait a day.

  • How long is each appointment?

Your initial physiotherapy consultation will last 40 minutes, and each consultation thereafter will be 30 minutes.

  • What payment options do you accept?

We accept cash, EFTPOS, VISA, and MasterCard. Payment is expected at time of consultation. HICAPS facility is available to claim private health refunds. If you need to cancel an appointment, we require 24 hours' notice, or a cancellation fee may be charged.

  • Can I use my private health fund?

Yes, just bring your private health fund card with you to each visit. We will swipe your card using HICAPS system and you will be responsible for the gap payment. All health funds are different, so we suggest that you call your fund to check that your policy covers physiotherapy or exercise physiology. The amount paid is different for each fund so you may like to check this too.

  • Can I claim through Medicare?

Physiotherapy maybe claimable through Medicare. If you are suffering from a chronic condition or have complex care needs, you are eligible for 5 visits under the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care scheme. You will need to see your doctor obtain a referral. There is a maximum of 5 sessions available across all allied health services in 12 months e.g., if you have had one podiatry treatment then you will only be able to claim 4 physiotherapy treatments.

  • Do I need to bring anything?

We have gowns and shorts for you to change into if needed. If you prefer, you may bring your own change of clothes. Loose-fitting clothing (e.g., shorts, singlet) is preferred so that your therapist can see the area to be treated.

  • How often do I need treatment?

After your therapist assesses you, they will recommend a treatment frequency that will best assist a full recovery of your injury. This is individual and will depend on your specific injury and goals of treatment.

  • Do you treat WorkCover and CTP patients?

Yes, in order for us to treat you, you must have filed a claim. Bring your insurance details, claim's number, and medical certificate from your doctor to your first appointment.
