Lismore Memorial Gardens

Guided tours of the crematorium facility will be conducted if requested. Simply call into the office in work hours and a staff member will take you and your group for a tour of the facility. The office is open from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday, with the exception of public holidays. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday. Toilet facilities are available at the Crematorium Chapel.

The areas of the grounds set aside for burial are meticulously maintained. The memorial rows feature a mass of magnificent, variously coloured roses that separate each individual burial site. The overall area is divided into smaller, more intimate sections which are bordered by evergreen trees and shrubs & over looked from all sides by majestic towering gums. In an endeavour to create harmony with the landscaping & the horticulture, a standard, tastefully understated design has been adopted.

Many people now choose cremation instead of burial and a memorial service prior to cremation may be held in the elegant simplicity of the Crematorium Chapel which seats up to 130 people. If preferred, the service may be held in "Gummifera Gardens", an especially dedicated area of the grounds amongst the trees and the local birdsong.
