FHC is a General Practice looking after our patients through every stage of life from maternity and early childhood right through to centenarians. We aim to work with our patients to enable them to be informed and aware and able to make the best choices for them at every stage of life.
This practice is a training practice dedicated to the post graduate teaching of future General Practitioners. It is accredited by AGPAL and is an AMA Ethical Practice. Yes, we do for valid health care card holders, pensioners and children under 16. If you do not meet these requirements but are in need of assistance please talk to your doctor at the start of your consult.
For those not eligible for bulk billing, the standard consultation fee is $68.00. FHC has eftpos facilities on site.
Yes, to see a doctor or the nurse you will need an appointment. You can make an appointment by calling us on 4751 2211 or clicking here. Walk in emergencies are attended to as soon as possible with the next available doctor.
A standard 15 minute appointment should be ample for issues such as medical certificates, prescriptions or simple ailments. More involved consultations such as care plans, mental health plans, RTA paperwork, work medicals, pap smears and complex or multiple medical problems will require a longer appointment. Should you require one simply mention this to the receptionist when you book so that enough time is allocated to you.
Medical certificates are issued during your consultation with the Doctor. These cannot be backdated, so please attend the practice sooner rather than later.
Your doctor will usually give you a time frame in which to book a follow up appointment to go over your test results in person. In most cases, the doctor will prefer to see you in person rather than call you with results (there are a few exceptions in the cases of INRs etc). If you do not already have a follow up appointment, please call the practice after a week to book one.
FHC is located at 441 Great Western Highway in Faulconbridge. Our car park is accessed via Coomassie Ave. We are the Blue & Grey Buildings right next to the Faulconbridge Chinese Restaurant and directly across the road from the antiques store.
