History

Bow Bowing takes its name from a local creek. Historians believe that the name is of aboriginal origin and was spelt “Boro Borang”.

Bow Bowing was officially established in 1976 and gained the name we know today. Before this, it was called Saggart’s Field.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Bow Bowing boasts two beautiful parks. These are called Lookout Central Park and Ku-Ring-gai Reserve. Because this is a residential suburb, there are few commercial facilities. The Bow Bowing World of Learning is a childcare centre that sits on Carnarvon Road. Smash Tennis is the local tennis club.
