The clinic was originally built to be the training centre for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and later became the RSPCA Animal Hospital and Clinic. The hospital was sold in the early 1980's and thus Belmont Avenue Veterinary Hospital began. Today, the complex incorporates the Belmont Avenue Veterinary Hospital, Belmont Boarding Cattery and Belmont Clipping and Grooming Salon.
