After successfully managing Retail Butchers in Metropolitan Melbourne, Robert Radford Snr acquired the retail butchers shop in Warragul in 1946. As the business flourished, he acquired a one-man slaughterhouse on five acres out of the township. From these beginnings today's operation is on a much grander scale. With Robert Radford Jnr at the helm the Abattoir has grown to what it is today.

Ive only been there twice with my friend, she has been there many times, the wagyu steak is excellent and not a bad price if you know how to cook. Bought filled baguettes there too, hard to beat. I will be back again and again Great job David and co.
