Merimbula is a medium length, medium-level difficulty private course on land that is woodland. Visitors are extremely welcome as it is a huge club house with a huge dining room and pokies. I like the easy first hole and the high quality of the course maintenance. The many kangaroos are a highlight for many visitors. A couple of the par threes are memorable. The meals at the very large clubhouse are very impressive. Go for the local oysters. After a lot of rain it stays dry because it slopes towards the sewerage works and has plenty of drainage ditches. One thing I don't like about it is there are hidden water hazards on a few holes - so keep a watch out for the tops of the red pegs marking hazards. If you are considering this course you might also consider Tura Beach or Bega.
