Blue Lake Veterinary Clinic

An excellent practice that I have used since retiring to the Mount in 2017. Their people and vets are professional through and through. Congrats Blu Lake vets for caring for our late Jessy.

Handy tips

Questions for your vet

Always forgetting to ask a question when you go in to the Vet? We’ve created a checklist to help you remember!

  • Make sure you address the primary concern for your visit: Is it a regular check up? Is your pet showing unusual behaviour such as a change in their diet, weight loss, or the appearance of lumps and bumps? Make sure to ask questions regarding medications and further treatments or examinations. Do you need to go to a Vet hospital?
  • Ask your Vet about any 24 hour animal hospitals near your area that they recommend as reputable, should you require immediate assistance.
  • Listen to any suggestions regarding diet, weight and dental factors so that you can care correctly for your pet, without the need for unnecessary visits to your vet.
  • Check whether your pet has received any necessary vaccines and whether they are still up to date.
  • Ask about any other services that the clinic may offer in terms of information for your pet, grooming facilities, pet training facilities or premium pet foods and prescription diets as these can all be useful for you.

Armed with this checklist, you’ll always have some questions for your vet upon your next visit to them. Make sure to check out our listings for further information on other vet clinics and hospitals that can assist in you caring for your pet!
