Laying your instant turf

Instant turf is a perishable product. Once your instant turf arrives from your turf supplier, you’ll want to get cracking! We’ve laid down some guidelines you can follow for the best installation result.

• Most grass and sapphire turf suppliers give you a guide on preparing the surface to laying your own instant lawn. Follow it closely and you won’t get any dramas.
• You can expect to lay about 40m2 per hour - so best put some beers on the ice and grab a couple of mates to help you out!
• Make sure the soil is moist, fertilised and firm for the best results.
• Use a roller to press down on the instant turf after you have finished installing it.
• Water the turf 2-3 times a day for the first fortnight.
