The role of a tutor

Is your son or daughter taking their final year exams soon? Are you looking to boost their grades and help them meet their academic goals? After school tutoring services have the opportunity to help students on a one-on-one or small-group basis outside of the regular classroom.

Tuition agencies are founded to help students learn. They may review content with them, explain how to solve problems or check completed work. A tutor may also help students develop study skills and organisation techniques to help improve their academic performance. This may be done in a one-on-one or group setting.

Tutors must often keep reports on students and share those reports with supervisors, teachers and parents. In addition to the academic component, tutors are responsible for supervising groups of students, providing discipline and serving as a role model.
