What are the certifications of the swim instructors? Enquire if they are certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, in addition to having formal swim instructor training.
Do they allow you to watch the swimming lessons? If you have enrolled your child for baby swimming lessons near you, you would like to see his/her progress. Any school should be happy to let you watch from a distance.
Does the swimming program teach survival skills first? A school should focus on teaching survival skills, such as floating on one’s back before training on swimming strokes.
