Spa, hot tub or Jacuzzi - What’s the difference?

There’s some confusion around the different terms (we admit), as services tend to throw them around interchangeably. Are spas, hot tubs and Jacuzzis all just the same thing? Read on to find out!

A hot tub specifically describes an above-ground tub with strategically placed jets of air to offer a similar relaxation experience. They may be portable depending on the material and design.

How about a Jacuzzi? It’s actually a company that makes the pumps that go in bathtubs. However hotels often like to use the term mistakenly when describing any spa or tub with built-in jets.
