Ulladulla Medical Clinic

Fantastic medical centre and care I was a walk in patient on holidays. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Although the surgery was quite busy they got me into see the doctor in 10 mins. Dr. Tan was very prifessional and helpful and immediately provided appropriate tests for my condition. Nursing staff were friendly and made me feel very comfortable. This is the best clinic I have ever attended. Great staff, great facilities and hardly any wait time. What else could you ask for... Definately 5 star. Jenny

Skin Check: How to protect your skin

Stay protected against the serious risk of skin cancers. Here are our top tips in reducing UV exposure, recognising suspicious dark spots and reducing your risk.

  • Start by checking your body for spots and moles at a skin cancer clinic near you. Early detection and management of skin cancer is the most effective way of mitigating risk and damage caused by skin cancer.
  • Begin skin cancer treatment as early as possible following a diagnosis.
  • It’s also important to attend follow up appointments and report any changes in moles and spots. Remember to check under your hair, under tattoos, under makeup and on your genitals. When checking yourself, look for asymmetry, irregular borders, changes in colour, growth in diameter and different textures.
  • Be sun-smart, cover your skin and apply sunscreen during times of high UV levels. Stay in shaded areas when possible. UV radiation can increase the risk of skin cancer even in cooler months and cloudy days.

By managing current issues, staying sun-smart and getting a skin cancer check, you’ll have a solid skin protection play that can effectively mitigate the risk of developing skin cancer.  Get started today by booking an appointment with a local skin clinic near you.
