Auscare House

I recently visited a very close friend of mine who lives and is being taken care of by Auscare.I stayed there for a full half day just to make sure my friend was being looked after. My observations 1 Very clean and spacious facility compared to others 2 The food was amazing, healthy indeed, on this particular day grilled fish, healthy boiled vegetables and cheesecake for desert. I joked around with the lady who was the Chef and said she should enter MKR as the meals she provided looked and tasted amazing.I was kindly offered a serving. 3 I had a sense that not only my friend, but the other cared for people, felt like they were all family. A lot of respect, humour, and friendship was felt not only with the cared guests but the management recipricated this as well.I was caught by surprise because it felt like home. 4. I-was delighted to see a billiard table in the recreation room and played against some of the guests so that was great to see that pool table is there for anyone to use. 5. I have to praise the workers and management as they all had personality and tolerance to every one in the facility. I personally highly recommend Auscare facility to anyone who needs to be admitted to such a facility. My mind can rest as i know my dearest friend is being looked after in a homely friendly environment!!!!

Things to look out for when selecting a retirement village

When deciding on the best retirement village near you, consider what you are prepared to compromise on and what you absolutely don’t want. We’ve gathered a few points to consider to help you in your decision making and thinking process for there is certainly a lot to think about.

  • Finances. Know your budget and what you can afford. Make sure you are comfortable with the legal and financial implications of living in the retirement village before signing the contract.
  • Support. Whether you’re still working, or have long retired; there is peace of mind knowing retirement villages can offer 24-hour help and assistance. Other services luxury retirement villages may have is meals, laundry, health, and personal care.
  • Amenities. Lifestyle retirement villages will have a range of amenities including restaurants, community rooms, barbeque areas, and libraries – what more could you possibly want.
  • Location. Consider senior independent living spaces that are close to family, so that it is easy for family and relatives to visit. Cheap retirement villages may not be in proximity to shops or attractions that you may find important- so then its worth have a rethink about these.

There is a range of factors to look out for, however, it’s recommended to visit many different services and do some on-the-ground research. To get started, find the retirement villages near you with our expansive directory today!
